3 Wheel Double Buggy

Claire, our tester, was impressed by the packaging. It was simple to open and clean. She found it to be one of the most simple and quick pieces of baby equipment to set up. She took it out for a spin around some rough terrain and was very pleased with its performance.
Seats
The majority of 3 wheel double buggies are initially single pushchairs, although some can convert to take the seat of a second person or carrycot by converting adapters (these are typically more common in tandem buggies). Certain models let you add an extra board to older children who are able to walk but need some help.
For a light-weight option that is ideal for city streets, check out the Joie Evalite Duo. It's easy to move and comes with a large basket with lots of storage. It can accommodate twins from birth and will accommodate two car seats or seats and a carrycot. However, the seats have to be facing forwards, and there's not enough space to store a bag of groceries underneath, so you'll need a sidepack to do that.

If you like to travel off-road, the Mountain Buggy Duet is a great option. It's a side-byside model with the smallest footprint of any double buggy available on the market. This allows it to pass through doors with narrow openings and on public transport and allows you to climb up and down kerbs without too much trouble. The adjustable handlebar features an integrated handbrake to increase safety and security.
The UPPAbaby vista 2 double is another lightweight option that is suitable for twins or a toddler and baby. The seats are multi-positional reclining with UPF 50plus sunshades. The canopy can be adjusted so that the sun doesn't get into your child's eyes. The Vista 2 can be converted into a triple by adding UPPAbaby’s "PiggyBack" board for older children.
The iCandy Orange is one of the most well-known double buggies available due to its outstanding comfort. It's an all-terrain pushchair with a soft suspension that makes light work of bumpy surfaces. It comes with 30 different seating configurations and a built-in board for older children who prefer walking, and a "cinema' mode which raises the back seat for better visibility.
The phil&teds dots are fantastic single buggys that are easily modified to take two (or three!) Different configurations are possible. This is particularly helpful if you have an infant in a car seat, as the frame can be fitted with a wedgie to allow for optimal lie-flat positioning, or car seat adapters to many brands.
Suspension
The suspension of a double 3-wheel buggy will determine how easily you and your child/children can push it. A smooth ride is vital because babies feel every bump in the road, especially if it's on rough terrain such as grass or unpaved paths. Some models have front tires that lock to help maneuver and get over obstacles like curbs.
Some models have air-filled tyres that are great for all-terrain riding, however they are susceptible to punctures. Make sure you have a spare set of tyres in your trunk. Certain models come with foam or gel-filled tyres that are designed to cushion bumps. They can be less likely to puncture, but they could cause discomfort for your child if they decide to run.

MFM reviewer Kath tested the Urban Glide 2 with her newborn and 3-year-old and found it exceptionally adept on terrains that are difficult to traverse. "It glided effortlessly over bumpy sidewalks and grass cobbles, dirt tracks and was easy for me to navigate around corners and get up and down kerbs." The 16" rear wheels, coupled with the lockable swivel wheels on the front, make it a very safe jogging experience. Folding
A three-wheel double buggy could be folded up neatly to be stored. Storage
One thing that many people appreciate about a good 3-wheel double buggy is the storage capacity. Some models like the Roma Atlas offer a generously-sized basket and 2 handy zip pockets on the hood to keep your phone and keys in reach. It's also designed to handle slightly rough terrain which makes it a great choice for family walks or all-terrain hikes.
Other models, like the UPPAbaby Vista 2, offer plenty of room and the flexibility to transport twins or a child and a toddler. (This is possible thanks to their 'PiggyBack board'). It's the most compact side-by-side double on the market. It also features impressive features, such as LED visibility lights that are placed on both sides of its frame to improve safety during low-light situations.

Its clever frame expands to allow for an additional seat, but it weighs just 11kg. This makes it easy to lift and move. It can also take a car seat or carrycot, so you enjoy the best of both worlds. it future proofs your wallet as you don't need to purchase a new buggy immediately.
